Visiting The Keep
The Keep is open to the public from 9.30-5pm Monday to Saturday from April-September, and from 9.30am-5pm Tuesday to Saturday from October-March. Last admission is at 4pm. The Museum also closes for two weeks over Christmas. There is a small admission fee as the Museum is a private charity and relies on admission fees and donations to keep open. The Museum offers a research service, also for a small fee.
The Keep has a small gift shop selling books, toys and Regimental Souvineers. Items can be purchased online from the Museumn's own website.
The Keep's website also has information about opening times and prices. There are history and education pages (written in line with the National Curriculam). These are useful for projects and family history research. Information from special exhibtions is also added to the site so that visitors who miss these displays can still learn about the history these exhibitions commemorated. The website is being added to regularly and more history and photographs will be added over the coming months.
