The Mifflin Family

Mary Mifflin was my great great great great great grandmother.

The Mifflin family came from nearby Warminster. Mary was baptised there in 1752, daughter of John Mifflin and Rachel Mifflin (née Barrett). The Warminster marriage registers show that Rachel Barrett married John Mifflin there in 1748. Their children were Mary, Mary, Betty, John , Solomon, Jane and Sarah.

There is a long line of Mifflin families in Warminster.

John was baptised in 1725, son of Edward Mifflin and Jane.
Edward was baptised on 3 Dec 1699 son of John Mifflin and Joan Fricker who married in the parish in 1799
John was baptised in 1672 son of Edward Mifflin and Ursula Smith who married in 1767
Edward was baptised in 1643, son of Edward Mifflin and Jane Dredge of Sutton Veney who married in Warminster in April 1632.

It is possible to construct a plausible family tree from these Mifflin families but there is nothing to prove that the tree is correct.
