The Norman and Marshall Families - Paupers and Peasants
The Family of John Marshall and Ann Vallis
John Marshall married Ann Vallis at Kingston Deverill in 1807. They were my great great great great grandparents and mother to Elizabeth Marshall nee Marshall.
The couple baptised 10 children in Kingston Deverill.

This was John's second marriage. His first had been to Hannah Priestly in 1802 but Hannah was buried in 1804 aged 24. The couple had one son, Edward, baptised in 1803 aged 14 weeks. In 1841 Edward was a Thatcher, married to Martha and living next door to his stepmother, Ann Marshall. Edward had 3 children - Mary, Emma and Charlotte. The family disappears after 1841.
John's death and burial have not been found.
It is possible to trace a plausible family line back from John Marshall but details are sketchy and it is not certain that it is correct. I have not included it here as it is not proven.
