James married Harriett Skinner in Holton in 1829. They baptised 4 children in Holton: Eliza, William, Henry and Mary Ann. Harriet died in May 1837 and was buried in Holton aged just 38. James remarried to Jane Jennings in July 1838 and together they had 5 more children: Harriet, Thomas, Jane, Eliza and Hannah . Jane was buried in Holton in 1888 aged 83. James's burial has not been found but census returns suggest that it was between 1871-1881.
Charles married Grace Luffman in Holton in 1824. They baptised 4 children in Holton: George, William, George, and Eliza. Charles was buried in Holton in 1872 aged 60. Grace was buried there in 1867, also aged 60.
Joseph married and had children but little more is known. He is not found in the 1841, 1851 or 1861 census returns. In 1871 he turns up as a widower, living with married daughter Harriet Ford in the village of North Cheriton. He was 'kept by the parish' and blind. In 1881 he had left the Fords and was living as a blind inmate in Wincanton Workhouse. He was buried in his birth parish of Maperton in 1890.
Silas married Anna Hillyar from Blandford in Dorset in 1842. The couple lived in Blackford then moved to Maperton, Somerset circa 1854 and had the following children: William, Frank, Ellen Emma, Caroline, Frederick and Eli. Anna died in childbirth and was buried in Maperton in 1857. Infant son Eli was buried 19 days later. Silas remarried to Ann Read in 1859 and had a second family. Florence Mary , Sarah Jane, Henry, Rosina Elizabeth, and Rosina Mary. Silas was buried in Maperton in 1898; Ann lived on until 1921.
Anna Maria married George Williams in Bratton Seymour in 1858. He was an agricultural labourer widower from Stourton Caundle in Dorset. He had sons George, Stephen and Eli from his first marriage. They had one daughter together, Alice Ann and lived first in Holton then in Blackford.
Jane married Samuel Parsons from Horsington in 1843. They had a son called Charles, and daughters Elizabeth Ann and Ellen Emma.
Kezia married Charles Longman in Bratton Seymour in 1859. He was a farm labourer from Bratton Seymour. They remained in the village and had just one son, William. In 1859 Charles was left a clock and clock case by his grandmother, Betty Longman. Betty was a pauper but leased a field from Lord Ilchester and ran a small carrier's business. Betty's nephew Samuel received 'the blanket on which I am now lying.' In those days material goods were scarce; every possession was precious and Samuel would have no doubt been grateful for the blanket in the dead of winter.
John Norman senior was buried at Holton in 1856 aged 84.
Hannah Norman was buried at Holton in 1865 aged 84.
