The fate of the family is not clear after 1782 but an Ann Norman married Thomas Day in Holton in 1782. The marriage was witnessed by Dinah Rendel and the Church Warden, John Wood. Was this 'our' Ann? Ironically Thomas Day was an Overseer of the Poor so it could be said he was doing the parish poor ratepayers a favour in taking Ann off their hands!

Ann and Thomas baptised three children together: Maria (1783), Elizabeth (1786) and Charles (1795).

Ann Day was buried in Holton in 1797.

No further trace has been found of either the Day family or of John Norman's brothers. John is seems to be the only member of the Norman family to have remained in Holton.
